The Best Prizes I Received In Oriental Dance Competitions
Participating in competitions and winning prizes on them helped me a lot evolving as a dancer. Here are the 5 best prizes I got in competitions so far.
1. The opportunity to participate in Bellydance Evolution. I got it with my 1st place in professional category in Oriental Dance Weekend 2016 in Portugal. I had an incredible experience with the whole cast of the company in Italy and Germany. I learned so much from Jilina and everybody, on group work and show production, and had the opportunity to meet incredible people. Thank you so much Jillina Carlano for this amazing experience!
2. Half price in Aida Bogomolova intensive course in Italy. I got this through my 2nd place in professional category in Roma Egyptian Passion Festival 2017 in Italy. It was my second time in Aida’s course, my favorite dancer and teacher who I can’t stop having classes with. This year was even better with @guyschalom and Sameh Sidhom teaching us music and allowing us to improvise to live music (darbuka and accordion). Plus, I had a great time with my roommates Hayal and Victoria Munoz.
3. New Chlóe costume by Ropa Danza Del Vientre. I wan several costumes in competitions but this one for me was the best ever. I got it in @bellyquality 2016 in Spain where I wan 1st place in professional category. This brown and golden costume just makes me feel so comfortable and feminine… Thank you Montsé for making these beautiful costumes and being so kind to me all the time!
4. 700€ Cash by Oriental Dance Weekend 2017 in Portugal, where I got 1st Place in Queen Category. Money always helps a dancer so she can purchase new costumes, invest on her studies or on her business.
5. Full Packs all over. I have done hundreds of hours of workshops in the last 3 years thanks to all the prizes I have won in these last years. Today I barely spend money in workshops, only on my trips and accommodations. This is for sure one of the best prizes in competitions: free workshops and courses to allow you to learn more and evolve.
